Insights Synthesis
Through ethical participatory research with 3 stakeholders from the Mary Pickford Foundation and 6 LA arts nonprofits, we found that nonprofits struggle with limited resources and often work in silos.
Solution 01
Share Resources & Build Partnerships
Art nonprofits that work in silos can build partnerships and amplify collective impact by sharing resources.
Nonprofits effortlessly accept requests to share
resources such as volunteers with fellow nonprofits.
Solution 02
Access & Ask for Community Resources
Art nonprofits with limited resources can easily request and access community support.
Nonprofits effortlessly requests space
resources from fellow nonprofits.
Design Decision & Iteration
Insight 01
Chat box takes up excessive space, distracting users from the main task.
Insight 02
Information lacks clear hierarchy, causing user cognitive overload.
Insight 03
Action buttons clutter the interface, making key actions hard to identify.
Systematic Email & Action Timeline
Observing art nonprofits users heavily rely on email for communication. I designed an email system that determines when users receive specific messages when sharing and requesting resources.
